If you would like to contribute to making Chinese heritage fun and relevant for everyone, come join us About Us: The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH), managed by the National Heritage Board is an important heritage institution for the Chinese community. It highlights the important role played by Singapore and Nanyang (Southeast Asia) in China’s 1911 revolution, introduces the contributions of key community leaders in Singapore and explores the impact and influences of the revolution on the Singapore Chinese community. Importantly, the institution also aims to promote an understanding and appreciation of the wider Chinese heritage and culture amongst all visitors.
**What you will be working on**
- Responsibilities: - Conceptualise and develop major iconic events and innovative programmes for SYSNMH with clear outcomes and themes. Some of the programmes include the WanQing Dragon Boat Festival (端午粽香溢晚晴), Festival of Spring(春满人间聚晚晴)and others. - Develop thematic programmes alongside the curatorial and education team to expand on special exhibition content and increase visitorship to the institution. - Research and conceptualise digital content for purposes of education and awareness of Singapore Chinese heritage and culture. - Management of SYSNMH’s social media channels and other digital platforms including strategy and content creation. - Collaborate and develop effective relationships with partners including government agencies, grassroots organisations, schools, community partners and precinct stakeholders with the purpose of outreach and co-creation of programmes. - Strategise how partnerships can help to reach a broad range of audiences, including families, new museum-goers, and community groups. - Work closely with the marketing and corporate communications division at NHB HQ and assist with marcom activities such as marketing, promotions, collateral production and media relations for SYSNMH
**What we are looking for**
- Requirements - At least 3 years of relevant work experience in programming and events management for arts or cultural events - Experience in Communications and Marketing a plus - Adept in social media and other digital marketing platforms, with the ability to conceptualise and produce content and plan publicity campaigns - Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish work tasks - Good time and project management skills - Ability to work with tight resourcing and budget by actively seek partnerships or sponsorships - Ability to multi-task under tight timelines, work independently, yet be a good team player - Comfortable and adept in writing and communicating in Mandarin; able to translate publicity write-ups from English to Mandarin - Able to work outside of regular office hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays - Keen interest in culture, heritage and history
