We're seeking a future team member for the role of **Vice President, FCC Compliance**to join our Singapore Compliance team reporting to the Head of Financial Crimes Compliance APAC. This role is located in **Singapore** - Hybrid work model.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

- Analyzes existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements and industry practices relevant to Singapore entities and BNY Group businesses and identify gaps, develop and implement controls, processes and procedures to meet existing and upcoming requirements ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Responsible for preparing, maintaining, reviewing and improving current compliance and AML/CTF related policies, regulations, guidelines, code of conduct, standards of good practice.
- Coordinate the relevant examination/ reviews being conducted by regulators, external, consultants, external or internal auditors.
- Contributes to the preparation of time sensitive reporting and appropriately escalates issues to the Head of FCC - APAC, Singapore MLRO and senior management.
- Remain current with AML regulatory developments and issues.
- Represent BNY at relevant external industry forums, as required, to ensure awareness of industry developments and market practice.
- Assume the role of Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the Singapore Branch and support all associated responsibilities/tasks.
- Provide review and challenge for business line and legal entity AML/CTF and Sanctions risk assessments. Review and challenge other financial crimes-related control documentation, including in relation to transaction monitoring and sanctions.
- Provide advice to 1LOD in ensuring that financial crime risks are assessed in relation to changes to systems, customer onboarding, new products, acquisitions and any other relevant initiatives.
- Engage with Global and Regional program teams to support implementation/execution of controls enhancements, incorporating local requirements as necessary.
- Maintain strong working relationships with outside regulators, government officials and senior business unit managers as necessary to ensure the timely delivery of information and increase the likelihood of favorable conditions for compliance activities.
- Lead the training and education for the assigned business unit(s) on risk management and compliance requirements. Collaborate with the business unit(s) to develop the appropriate training materials.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

- Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Business or Finance degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Financial Services, Audit or Compliance background and/or experience with banking/financial services compliance, FCC/AML/Sanctions and/or experience with the assigned products, services or business lines/areas (Markets experience/exposure) and the pertaining laws, regulations and rules of relevant regulators preferred.
- Strong Banking regulatory knowledge (including Accountability regime, licensing, outsourcing requirements).
- Strong team player and communicator
- Nimble and ever-ready to face challenges
