A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for Research Officers to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.
- Perform virological assays in cell culture for a wide variety of RNA pathogens, including chikungunya virus, Zika virus, dengue viruses, enteroviruses
- Work with and develop mouse models of infection
- Oversee daily laboratory activities and help manage the lab’s routine duties (lab manager)
- Help new students and postdocs settle into the lab, transfer techniques to them, and participate in their research programs

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in biomedical sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, or related field
- Experience with BSL-2 pathogens, and cell culture will be an asset
- General lab skills in molecular biology (cloning, PCR, RNA and DNA methods)
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and multitask
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- A strong desire to constantly learn and acquire new skills
