A Programme Director position is available in the Maritime Energy & Sustainable Development (MESD) Centre of Excellence, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Energy & Sustainable Development (MESD) Centre of Excellence is looking into various sustainable solutions to assist the maritime industry to move into a low carbon future. MESD collaborates with the industry to address the challenges the market is facing and works closely with agencies to align with national decarbonisation agenda. The centre is looking for the talent to join as a project manager/ programme manager/director to assist the centre management with the strategic planning, programme management, and stakeholder relationship.

**Responsibilities**:
The Project manager/ Programme Manager / Programme Director is expected to:

- Assist the centre management in setting the strategic directions for driving a translational research centre in maritime energy and sustainable development
- Provide support to centre management and lead efforts to develop thought leadership
- Work with research leads to identify research topics with high relevance and impact to maritime industry in the area of decarbonisation
- Manage key projects and ensure successful internal and external cooperation
- Develop and maintain good relationship with stakeholders including funding agencies, industrial partners, and academic collaborators

**Job Requirements**:

- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field from a reputable university
- A minimum of 5-year experience in industry development, strategic planning, programme management in either maritime industry or research institutes
- Good knowledge of decarbonisation
- Strong project management skills with experience in R&D Excellent communication skills
- Excellent writing skills and demonstrate excellence track of report/article writing
- Self-motivated, well organised and able to work individually and as part of a dynamic team
- Attentive to details and able to follow formal business practices
- Analytical and possess good creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Pro-active leader and team player who can work with mínimal supervision
