Regional Placement Broker, Anz

Green Bird Reinsurance Company (Green Bird) is Honan Insurance Group’s Wholesale and Reinsurance Broking

business.

The Regional Placement Broker will be responsible for managing renewals and placement of New Business

submissions for wholesale and reinsurance placements across various lines of insurance, including but not

limited to; Property, Construction, Terrorism, Marine, Casualty and Cyber. Exposure to risks based in Australia

and New Zealand will be the main priority, and when arises Southeast Asia. It’s important to be providing pro
- active high quality service to our stakeholders including; direct/retail brokers, cedents, (re)insurers, colleagues

and business partners.

**Key Deliverables**

**Collaborating and Partnering for Client Value**
- Managing existing renewal placements
- Managing and supporting new business placements
- Supporting the Head of Wholesale and Reinsurance new business initiatives and projects
- Build and support effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Answering and responding to daily enquiries
- Ensure documentation is issued in accordance with our compliance requirements, contract certainty

principals, and within applicable SLA timeframes.
- Be an active, collaborative, and inclusive member of the team and wider Honan company
- Escalate matters and issues where necessary

**Inspiring with Operational Excellence**
- Gathering information to support placements and submissions.
- Collaborate with broker support to ensure timely and accurate production of documentation, quotes,

premiums, and calculations.
- Review slips, endorsements, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Consult with cedents & reinsurers and address enquiries or escalate complex matters and issues
- Reviewing premium calculations
- Maintain contacts
- Work with broker support and finance to manage debtors and creditors

**Satisfying and reaching with new technologies**
- Develop understanding of internal and external systems and processes - e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint,

Evolution, Axco
- Incorporate new technology where possible to create efficiencies
- Strive for continual improvement of processes by seeking ways to overcome challenges and roadblocks by

recommending solutions and innovations.

**Sharing Knowledge through Data and Analytics**
- Maintaining the up-to-date management of databases, information systems and organisational company

records.
- Contribute to Thought Leadership articles and promote brand recognition.
- Attend and contribute at all team meetings, sharing knowledge and lessons learnt with team members.
- Keeping self and other staff informed of relevant professional, regulatory, and legislative changes affecting

business services.
- Monitor accuracy of data input(s).

**Knowledge**
- Strong Knowledge of key insurance classes and markets: Property, Construction, Terrorism, Marine, Casualty and Cyber - Understanding and ability to implement MAS Contract Certainty Principals - Understanding of legislative obligations across industries and claims process. - Willingness to learn and open to asking questions to continue professional development - Preferred knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand landscape; businesses, insurers appetite etc.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- MAS 502 minimum standard for broking staff
- Diploma of Insurance Broking or further education preferred
- 3-5+ years insurance industry experience, with experience in a placement role highly regarded
