Roles & Responsibilities

Hairstylists use multiple techniques to improve their clients’ hair appearance. Common duties highlighted on a Hairstylist example resume are identifying client requirements, cutting and trimming hair, operating cash registers, offering beauty advice, recommending hair prod.ucts, adhering to hygiene rules, and sanitizing tools and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cut, trimmed and shaped hair based on customers' instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors.Communicated effectively with customers and peers, building outstanding and lasting working relations to ensure smooth operations.Maintained a sanitary and inviting establishment to entice new business opportunities and maintain current customer base. Handled numerous administrative functions to support company efforts, including answering phones, completing data entry and scheduling. Provided customers with exceptional customer service resulting in excellent customer retentionDaily preparation for open and close activities including: bank reports, deposits, activity reports, and managing cash drawerResponsible for maintaining merchandise, inventory and displayHigh volume retail sales of high end hair care productsEnsured a clean and safe environment for customersResolved guest complaints or issues in a positive mannerHelped with promotion and marketing.Worked as a hairstylist Managed my clients' check out; handled moneyKept a detailed appointment book and scheduleWorked the retail area of the salonPlaced product orders biweekly Excellent customer service, communication skills. Handle the salons clients with great care and develop good relationships.
