This role is focused primarily on Personal Indemnity and Medical Malpractice underwriting to support a growing portfolio in APAC.

Key Deliverables

Prepare coverage and pricing proposals as well as negotiating and drafting PI and MedMal insurance policy terms and language

Work closely with the portfolio lead and broader team in servicing the existing portfolio of business to ensure that we see a good, quality submission flow and achieve appropriate quote/bind rates.

Manage all underwriting referrals in accordance with internal policies and guidelines

Support local markets with product / policy wording and filing with local regulators

Promote Chubb products, capabilities and value proposition.

Support and participate in origination of new opportunities.

Present at external client meetings with a view to building relationships

Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, including department heads, product heads, legal and finance.

Drive culture of data quality with regard to accurate and timely completion of data in all source systems.

Assist in planning and preparation for portfolio reviews as well implementation of portfolio review actions and predictive modelling.

Train and mentor more junior team members

Induction of new underwriters

Ensure that underwriting audits are conducted and completed and that feedback to management and marine underwriters is documented.

Peer reviews - quarterly/ annually?

Perform special projects and / or ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:
**Required Skills**:
Minimum 10 years underwriting experience

**Business acumen**: have an ability to negotiate with commercially and legally sophisticated brokers, advisors and clients.

Strong understanding of financials.

Excellent technical underwriting skills.

Be naturally curious and extremely detail-oriented.

Ability to think commercially and critically.

**Strong communication skills**: To assure healthy exchange of information & impediments.

Ability to effectively interact with brokerage, customer and internal stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree required
