**The opportunity
**We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Engineer (QE) Specialist to support the Quality Management Office (QMO) Lead in planning, implementing, coordinating and managing test strategy and approach, best practices, test automation and test execution for product launches, projects and initiatives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain operating culture according to the vision: Ensure Quality by Optimizing Cost-Time-Scope
- Align with Manulife Regional TCOE tool and practices strategy, seeking maximum leverage
- Continuously review and adjust strategy, governance, and best practices to stay relevant to business and market need
- Manage and provide direction to QA & QE on all aspects of test related matters
- Undertake to fill onsite presence on behalf of TCOE and test services vendor partner(s), including carry out test-related tasks on behalf of offshore resources.
- Develop, refresh, and implement test automation roadmap, aligning with KPIs. Implement and push through automation agenda
- Implement and integrate appropriate tools strategy to ease test processes/operations and reporting needs.
- Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
- Collect quality data, and identify KPIs for quality assurance and engineering
- Support QMO lead in preparing and presenting reports and metrics to senior leadership

**What we are looking for**
- Mature in quality control techniques and guiding principles, in areas of test management, defect management, test coverage assurance, risk-based approach assessment and dependencies management
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Strong judgement required specifically during the quality control
- Work closely with departmental team members and management. Must maintain high level of discretion regarding reviews performed and outcomes
- Must be able to manage time and complete assigned tasks timely and within guidelines provided.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ideally 5 - 8 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist, including experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies, Behavioral Driven Development and other
- Test automation experience in Agile
- Experience working with regional development and testing team
- Testing experience in life insurance domain preferred
