The business is a highly regarded, market leading-firm with global offices and exceptional track record across many years. As a Senior Legal Counsel for the real estate firm, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and provide guidance to the organization.

The Senior Legal Counsel for Singapore will work closely with the General Counsel, executive team, business stakeholders, and external partners and support the local Singapore and APAC team.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities of Senior Legal Counsel, Real Estate**:

- Stay abreast of real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the company's activities are compliant.
- Analyze potential legal risks associated with real estate transactions and provide proactive solutions and strategies to mitigate them.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various real estate agreements, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, development contracts, and construction contracts.
- Advise on contractual terms, risks, and obligations, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives.
- Oversee due diligence processes for real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including title searches, surveys, environmental assessments, and zoning reviews.
- Provide legal analysis and recommendations based on due diligence findings.
- Collaborate with external counsel
- Assist in corporate governance matters, including advising the board of directors and executive management on legal issues impacting the company.
- Conduct legal research on complex real estate issues and provide clear and concise summaries to support business decision-making.
- Provide legal training and workshops to employees to enhance their understanding of legal requirements and risk management.

**Qualifications and Requirements of Senior Legal Counsel, Real Estate**:

- LLB from a reputable law school (or equivalent)
- Singapore/UK Qualified or other relevant Commonwealth Jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience as a real estate attorney, either in practice or in-house within real estate or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, contracts, leasing, zoning, and development regulations.
- Adept in complex legal matters and provide strategic advice
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
