This role is essentially responsible for financial reporting to external stakeholders and internal reporting to our Asia Pacific Regional Office. The individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with group and local accounting standards and tax regulations. This position also works with the business function leaders, to support the business in the roll out of new products/distribution into operation in considering its impact to financial reporting.

Areas of Responsibility:

- Financial Reporting _
- Oversees, coordinates and ensures the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting to the MAS, IRAS and other external stakeholders.
- Liaises and work closely with internal and external auditors and tax advisors as well as corresponds with the regulators.
- Provides oversight and ensures the timely submission of internal reporting information to regional office.
- Performs analysis on financial results
- Performs US GAAP to Stat reconciliation
- Prepares and presents forecast and plan of local statutory results and capital solvency.
- Keeps abreast of changes in regulations affecting financial reporting and works with stakeholders to implement changes where required
- Works closely with the Finance Operations team to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial close process and proper maintenance of the chart of accounts.
- Ensures compliance with local regulatory and group accounting standards and policies as well as tax requirements.
- Be the key in charge for IFRS 17 accounting standards implementation project for the entity, working closely with the Regional project team.

- Participate in ad-hoc projects and provide recommendations from a finance perspective
- Be proactive in identifying any risks / opportunities, working closely with respective business/function leaders and regional finance teams for business support and process initiatives that affects financial reporting.
- Supports the business in the execution of new products/distribution or other initiatives into operation from a finance and accounting standpoint.
- Process improvement to streamline the reporting process.

Skills and Experience:

- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good strategic thinking and project management skills
- Strong operator; able to be hands-on but also possesses leadership qualities.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel.
- Process driven
- Proficient in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, MAS regulations for Insurance Companies will be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability for accuracy and attention to details
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Able to work under pressure; Results oriented and observe deadlines
- Able to design and execute solutions independently
