**Department Description**

**Investment Services - Data Stewards (Carbon & Sustainability Data)**
- Effective management and control of portfolio and institution emissions data to enable data analysis and strategic insights
- Provide domain knowledge of underlying portfolio and financial data, data flow, ESG data collation, data subscription and landscape
- Provide value add services to anchor use cases for business teams for ESG metrics and analytics requirements

**Key Responsibilities**
- Business Analyst to support carbon and sustainability measurement, reporting and analytics.
- Sound understanding on current and emerging sustainability reporting frameworks, standards and requirements that are applicable to Temasek, and implications to downstream measurement and reporting
- Be part of a dedicated team to identify data gap, build / strengthen our central database for data capturing, tracking, and monitoring of sustainability metrics at investment, portfolio monitoring and institution level
- Gather data requirements by working closely with colleagues from Corporate Finance, Treasury, Investment Groups, Sustainability and ESG Investment Management
- Build calculator and computational functionality for ESG metrics
- Build visualised dashboards with enhanced analytics capabilities for decision-useful information
- Participate in initiatives and projects as part of continuous process improvements and data automation

**Desired skills and experience**
- Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Business, Finance or a related technical field or equivalent
- Previous experience in Financial Services industry or in an ESG department of a corporate an advantage
- At least 3 (SA) to 5 (AVP) years of relevant working experience, and total work experience of 5 to 7 years (SA) / 8 to 10 years (AVP)
- Strong ESG data management skills with keen eye for detail, especially on various ESG datasets at origination, evaluation, execution and post-investment monitoring stages
- Experience in the use of data visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik Sense
- Strong sense of accountability and project management skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as a team, both within Investment Services and / or across different functions
- Good communication, writing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of or experience working on current sustainability issues is an advantage (e.g. climate change, energy transition, biodiversity)
