Site Selection & Acquisition Department

The Site Selection & Acquisition team is responsible for the entire site acquisition process to deliver quality sites for Vantage’s data center development across the region. The team sources, evaluates, pre-qualifies and completes initial due diligence, negotiates, and closes all site acquisitions. The team is highly cross-functional and collaborates with New Site Development, Design & Engineering, Sales, Operations, Legal, Finance and the Senior Leadership Team throughout the process. Site Selection & Acquisition implements and executes upon the work product developed by the Strategy and Market Intelligence team. The team also manages Vantage’s third-party consultants and vendors critical to technical review and diligence of sites. This role is responsible for the development and review of Site Selection schedule and budget to ensure critical acquisition milestones align with customer Ready for Service (RFS).

Position Description

Essential Job Functions- Manage a team of Site Selection & Acquisition Directors responsible for APAC:
- Hold teams accountable to deliver on plans of records, and ensure all Directors comply with regional legal, risk, and financial controls and policies- Drive teams to execute all phases of Site Selection & Acquisition including pre-qualification, chasing, under control, in closing, closing and in hand-off from Site Selection to New Site Development

Duties- Drive innovation and process improvement to diminish cycle times and increase employee output- Encourage and foster a team-oriented environment through positive feedback- Evaluate and manage performance reviews for your team. Seek out input from others and provide feedback and coaching to manage individuals as well as the team- Working with Finance, Legal, New Site Development and Design & Engineering, assist with creation of Site Selection acquisition budgets and oversee management of monthly variance reports.- Ensure sites are acquired in accordance with Vantage policies, terms and conditions, on time, with mínimal risk, with budgeted parameters- Support sales in customer engagement and fulfillment of requirements related to customer SOQs and RFPs. Provide current information to Sales on sites under control that are ready for marketing to customers within 24 hours of site control.- Partner with Site Selection & Acquisition Cost team, Finance to drive forecast/variance analysis, master service agreements (MSA) and project authorizations for new & existing contractors and vendors are executed- Vendor/Contractor management including qualification and relationship building/maintenance- Ensure lessons learned are held and placed in the feedback loop to drive continuous improvement- Work closely with the Operations to coordinate design criteria and Site Selection & Acquisition with ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities

Job Requirements- 10-15 years of experience in management role required; 15 to 20 years preferred- Data Center experience is preferred- Business Management Degree is preferred- Strong operational skills required- Experience in managing distributed teams across various regions and timezones remotely required- Must be a creative thinker with demonstrated ability to champion innovation.- Flexible, adaptable and self-directed; able to work in a variety of circumstances; e.g.: remotely, while travelling, across multiple time zones, cross functionally, by project, etc.- Must demonstrate an excellent understanding of the commercial metrics which drive a successful development- Employment Type - Full time.- Travel within the APAC region is required
