Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.

As a Component Hardware Qualification Engineer in the Silicon Component team in Singapore, you will check and test the compliance of any chips selected by Thales according to standards and smartcard product specifications.

**A week in the life of a Component Hardware Qualification Engineer**:

- You will be responsible for leading qualification test to ensure compliance of any chips selected by Thales according to standards and smartcard product
- You will be responsible for answering and challenging electronic solution on request as hardware expert
- You will support deep analysis for qualification, production and field return in case of any chip related issue.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- ** To do this job, you must have** a process semiconductor technology background with Computer architecture knowledge on hardware and software
- ** We would appreciate if you have** some software development knowledge, preferably scripting and programming languages C, C++, JavaScript, and Java on PC environment.
- ** You need to be** fluent in English.
- ** We would like someone to join our team who is** motivated by technical topics, curious about the group’s activities & projects, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and acting as team player in a multi-interface environment.
- ** You need to have a** Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / Electronics & Electrical Engineering or related field.
- ** We are looking for someone with** 3 to 5 years’ experience in semiconductor technology, hardware or electrical field
- You are comfortable with occasional business trips for technology transfer (1-2 weeks)
