The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime.
The Admin and Finance Department is the staff authority for administrative, financial and procurement matters within the SPF. Its primary role is to optimise administrative, financial and procurement resources in order to meet the operational needs of the SPF.
As a Planning Officer (procurement) in the Strategic Planning and Training Division, you play an important role in providing value-added services to the SPF Finance and Procurement community in a fast-paced environment.
You will be part of a team that takes charge of planning and monitoring of the Department’s budget to ensure the optimal utilisation of financial and administrative resources; and you will perform contract monitoring, provide procurement advice and conduct procurement activities for the selected units that the Admin and Finance Department is supporting. In addition, you will also provide guidance and process requests in accordance with the relevant procurement policies and procedures.

**What we are looking for**
- Background in any discipline, with a background in contract management, government procurement work would be advantageous.
- Able to work within stringent deadlines, make timely assessment of contract management/procurement requests, have great negotiation skills, influencing and adaptability skills and capability to solve problems and think creatively.
- Possess leadership skills and is proactive to execute tasks with minimum supervision.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to engage staff of all levels - orally and in writing.
- Experience in the procurement analysis to gain insights and ability to use the information to improve procurement processes and governance controls will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and SAP would be an advantage.
