**Your background**
- Technical experiences must include expert operator level knowledge of JES3 (or JES2) and MVS commands sets and console operations.
- The ability to navigate and provide operator level control over CICS.
- Knowledge of standard mainframe tools such as: MAINVIEW, Omegamon, Tivoli, SA/Zos, CAO, OPS/MVS, TMON, NETVIEW, TBSM, and HMC
- A working knowledge of VTAM/SNA, IPL and POR procedures is required.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as BMC Remedy.
- Following a shift schedule which includes at least one weekend day a week. Shift pattern may vary.

**What you can expect**

The Mainframe operations team provides the first level of response for all infrastructure issues. Additionally, this role supports weekend change activities helping to ensure mainframe infrastructure changes are implemented successfully within the scheduled change window.

This Role requires a strong working knowledge of mainframe infrastructure and the software running on it. The ability to identify problems and escalate appropriately to ensure the health of this critical technology.

This role is critical for supporting the mainframe infrastructure and ensuring the stability of these critical platforms.

**What you will do**
- Monitor Webgui to be alerted to infrastructure related issues for production and non-production mainframe platforms.
- Take 1st level actions to identify and remediate system issues.
- Escalate to 2nd and 3rd level support teams while remaining involved to provide assistance to remediate more complex issues.
- Provide triage and technical support on bridge lines.
- Execute requests in production and non-production mainframe platforms.
- Assist in change implementation and IPLs during the scheduled system modification window.
