Transforma Robotics is a deep tech start-up local company and headquartered in Singapore. As fast growing start up, we are expanding our team to prepare for the future expansion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Investigate concepts, do market research in order to improve existing mechanical designs and develop new ones for future robotic products.
- Design mechanical systems, generate drawings, BOM and perform basic Finite Element Analyses in order to evaluate potential failure areas/components.
- Work on a broad range of activities such as hands-on detailed mechanism design, using analytical as well as numerical techniques to identify the root cause of technical issues.
- Plan, design and develop robotic solutions/modules within quality target and set budget.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g. Project Manager, CTO, Vendors) in product design and project development schedule.
- Responsible for planning and performing testing/prototyping activities according to the project needs.
- Provide periodic update to Manager regularly and be able to meet deadlines.
- Track development of all assignments and escalate problems to Manager in timely manner.
- Design testing jigs/fixtures and perform experiments as appointed by the Manager.
- Assist Manager in overseeing job assignments for interns and junior staff

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree/Master’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering.
- Prepare technical reports to Manager regularly and be able to meet deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of material properties and machining/prototyping practices.
- Familiar with ANSYS Mechanical for design validation and product optimisation before manufacturing. Experience with ANSYS Fluent is a plus.
- Familiar with spraying systems and pneumatics would be desired
- Able to analyse design proposals, specifications, part manuals and related data to evaluate the feasibility and cost of designs.
- Able to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
