- **Assistant Claims Manager**.**We Offer**

You will embark on a great journey with excellent career development opportunities in a global organization. As Assistant Claims Manager, you will be responsible for all local claims, Unclaimed & Abandoned Cargoes (UAC) matters and implementing loss prevention measures.**Key Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Senior Documentation & Claims Manager, your main responsibility is to handle all claims arising locally including but not limited to Cargo, Full Container Mishandling (FCM), Vessel damages and Crew claims. To execute, enforce and monitor all UAC, undeclared and/or wrongly declared claim issues with Port of Loading (POL) and Port of Discharge (POD), adhering to local statutory regulations and MSC GVA legal requirements.Your key responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure proper and timely handling of claims and recoveries by coordinating amongst terminals, cargo interests, surveyors, experts and internal stakeholders
- Perform regular follow-up with claimants and/or liable parties to ensure each claim is closed in a timely manner
- Management of UAC matters to ensure each claim is disposed promptly to ensure loss is mínimal
- Prepare claims statistics and reports to senior management and MSC Geneva Claims/Legal department
- Advising international stakeholders on insurance and liability matter
- Implementation of risk improvement measures, where applicable
- Ensure claims system, Themis, is timely and accurately updated;
- Appointment and arrangement for local survey upon MSC GVA instructions.

**Job Requirement**

- Min Diploma / Degree qualified, preferably in the Maritime field;
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience and knowledge in container and shipping operations
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
