We are looking for an Assistant Project Engineer to ensure design, implementation and start-up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, following the investment project charter, design specifications and Nestlé standards. **A day in the life of...** - Efficient & safe operations of manufacturing plant and ancillary equipment. - Practise and inculcate NGMP - Maintain operational records of plant / equipment operations. - Before starting the project design phase: Support the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in developing the investment project charter and see to it that it is strictly followed throughout the project. - During project design phase: Based on: Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, the Nestlé standards, the local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications, the TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability) and, on top of all the previous, the workers safety during both, the construction and the further operation of the plant, execute the basic design and then the detailed design. - During the project implementation phase: Get the engineering side of the project implemented (e.g. buildings, equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and the characteristics of a unit operation, all the elements of the project (including technical people training, as needed) in such a way that safety is always guaranteed on the whole project site and a vertical start-up is assured. - Select and qualify contractors and coordinate their activities. Ensure that the Nestlé standards are applied. Promote development of environment-friendly and sustainable solutions" - During the start-up phase of the project: Support the start-up manager and her/his team, to assure a smooth transition to operations, after the qualification and the verification of the installation have been finalized. - Support in preparing and distributing the project documentation of engineering, including the engineering part of the project final report and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System." - During the whole project life: Promote development of environmental-friendly and sustainable solutions. Mobilize resources (internal & external) - Maintain cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene in all plant/equipment utilities areas. - Practise & inculcate a safety culture to all direct reports. Instill & adopt Behavioral Based Safety philosophy and methods to direct reports. - Identify continuous improvement opportunities on new equipment - To contribute inputs pertaining to Engineering issues in the area of food safety - Practise T.R.I.P & staff management through T.R.I.P - Responsible to implement safety and environment practices in the workplace. **What will make you successful** - Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar field - Successfully demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to deliver - Demonstrated ability in project management
