DESIGNATION : Principal / Senior Engineer (Polymer, Module Technology)

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Encapsulants, Foils and Back-sheet Development**:

- Develop, test and qualify new encapsulants, foils and back-sheets for next generation PV modules.

**Process Development**:

- Drive quality improvement in the reliability aspects of next generation PV modules.

**Simulations and modeling**:

- Build-up and develop the polymer degradation model to understand the failure mechanisms.

**Others**:

- Assist R&D and process teams with technical analyses, troubleshooting and improvement projects.
- Plan, coordinate and execute product enhancements to module design with external collaborators.
- Drive project schedule and technical enquiries.
- Strategize testing/characterization methods.
- Keep up to date with polymer manufacturing processes and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D in Polymer Science/Chemical Engineering Field.
- Minimally 3 years of relevant experience; working experience in Solar/Semiconductors/Electronics/Packaging industries will be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in polymer manufacturing.
- Knowledge and experience in characterization and analysis of polymers, familiar with analytical instruments such as DSC, TGA, UV-Vis spectrometer, FTIR and Ramen.
- Possession of project management skills, keeping track of key milestones and deliverables and providing regular updates to management team.
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods and DOE.
- Ability to co-operate with different professionals (operations, equipment suppliers, technology institutes, supply chain, operation).
- Self-driven, proactive and analytical team player.
- Travelling to conferences, seminars, and research institutes is to be expected.

**Additional Advantageous Skills**:

- ** Product Reliability Test Design**:Familiar with reliability (accelerated aging) tests, e.g. Damp-heat, Thermal Cycling, Humidity freeze, UV exposure.
- ** Documentation**: Experience in documentation of experimental observations & data in publications / literature.
