Legal Intern

This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to assist Secretlab’s Legal and Compliance team in supporting the company’s operations, growth and partnerships worldwide. The team based in Singapore handles legal, regulatory and compliance issues arising from its global markets, and you can expect to learn not only about Singapore-specific legal issues, but also how to deal with legal and regulatory issues arising from North America (United States and Canada), Europe and APAC.

**Responsibilities**

We are looking for a legal intern who is enthusiastic and willing to learn about what it takes to be an in-house lawyer operating in various jurisdictions. The legal intern will experience hands-on work under the guidance of experienced in-house lawyers of Secretlab’s Legal and Compliance Department.

Under the team’s supervision and guidance, the intern may expect to assist with:

- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts to support the company’s business operations;
- Advising on ongoing and potential disputes;
- Preparing a Statutory Register that summarises all applicable statutes to Secretlab’s business in its global markets;
- Resolving any non-compliance issues identified in the process of preparing the Statutory Register;
- Reviewing marketing and advertising materials for compliance with the relevant advertising guidelines and regulations;
- Preparing training materials for internal seminars to improve our processes and to promote a greater awareness and understanding of legal issues;
- Responding to day-to-day queries for advice;
- Updating and maintaining our contracts database;
- Supporting the compliance team in rolling out policies and guidelines; and
- Any other tasks assigned by the Legal team

**Requirements**:

- Rising second, third or fourth-year law students or fresh graduates with a law degree
- Clear and concise writing
- Legal research skills
- Be able to commit at least one (1) month for an internship
