School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking enthusiastic individuals with exceptional credentials to join a vibrant and dynamic research group as Research Engineer II who will be undertaking fundamental research into eVTOL Technologies. The work is carried out at the eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The environment provides excellent training in a highly motivated working environment with state-of-the-art facilities. The position requires high leadership skills, creativity, engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Engineer II's scope of work includes the following main areas of responsibility:
- Lead and undertake mechanical design of eVTOL components and assembly- Lead and undertake hands-on activities in the fabrication and assembly of eVTOL- Investigate regulatory requirements to mechanical requirement and ensure airworthiness requirements are met.- Participate and lead in design of experiments, experimental activities, procurement, testing and assembly.- Preparing presentations and reports for agencies and industrial partners.- Maintaining lab facilities and taking care of purchasing and other administrative tasks.- Supporting the team in engineering design, construction and testing the test articles.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent in related fields- At least 3 years of experience in the aerospace or automotive sector- Must be resourceful and creative in coming up with original engineering solutions and problem solving- Industrial experience is a must.- Must be familiar with aircraft or automotive engineering, fatigue testing and systems integration in general- Knowledge and experience in aircraft or automotive certification, assembly and manufacturing- Hands-on experience working on aircraft or automotives- Good team leader, enthusiastic and good English skills.- Able to perform multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
