The eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre at NTU Singapore is seeking a candidate specializing in composite design and loads simulation for eVTOL aircraft, aligning with Industry 4.0 initiatives.
The main responsibilities include:
Designing airframe and components.
Modeling and simulating aircraft loads.
Studying vibration and coupling effects.
Designing composite layups and conducting simulations to meet airworthiness standards.
Optimizing composite layup designs.
Liaising with industry partners.
Leading experimental activities, procurement, fabrication, testing, and assembly.
Preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders.
Maintaining lab facilities and handling administrative tasks.
Supporting research and lab development activities.
Requirements:
Strong research capability with outstanding academic records in structures and/or composites.
BEng or MEng in Engineering from a recognized university, with expertise in composites and structures.
Good teamwork, enthusiasm, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Industrial experience is a plus.
Experience with finite element methods, vibrations, and composite fabrication is highly desirable.
