DESIGNATION : LNG Financial Trader, SG

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Position Description**

The Financial Trader is part of the global LNG Trading team within JERAGM’s LNG business and he/she will play a supporting role in the navigation and risk management of JERAGM’s LNG financial risk portfolio.

The individual will be responsible for supporting LNG financial trading activities, including but not limited to trade execution across multiple global commodities exchanges, trade idea generation, trade booking in relevant systems, real time exposure confirmations, P&L analysis, daily risk exposure checks with middle office teams, and other related trading desk requirements.

This position will require the individual to engage in risk management and trade execution activities as market conditions change. Due to the international nature of trades, operating hours may extend beyond regular Singapore office hours at times.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Support risk management and trade execution activities across multiple commodities exchanges and time zones
- Generate trade ideas
- Verify deal entry accuracy and monitor P&L and exposures
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external industry counterparts
- Collate, gather, and disseminate market intelligence to the global team
- Work with Middle Office, Risk Management, Internal Control, Legal, and Credit teams as well as other external counterparts on all trading desk related matters
- Remain at all times compliant with code of conduct and regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

**Experience Required**
- Complete fluency in English for effective execution of international trading activities
- Expertise in spreadsheet building and quantitative analysis
- Minimum 3 years of professional trading experience with an oil & gas major, utility, or commodity trading house
- Understanding of valuation, pricing, risk, and optionality embedded in commodity transactions and related derivative positions
- Experience of working with ETRMs to represent complex commodity positions
- Fluency in Japanese is required for liaising with counterparties based in Japan
- Knowledge of option pricing and portfolio risk management will be preferred
- Knowledge of Coding, algorithm, and automated trading systems will be preferred
- Certification (products or regulations) by recognized international regulatory authority will be an advantage
