Brief Summary

The Program Manager at Edmund Optics Singapore plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This dynamic position involves organizing customer visits for key clients while managing the First Article scheduling and deliverables. This role also requires exceptional communication skills to deliver status updates, conduct analyses and provide solutions to both internal and external stakeholders - making a significant impact on the company’s overall success.

**Job Description**:

- Plan, organize and set objectives for each First Article (New Product Introduction) order to ensure the Original Promise Dates are fulfilled - prioritize FA schedules based on customer’s Original Promise Dates, process capabilities, material availability, and machine/tooling capacity.
- Prepare Gantt Charts to detail the lead-times and datelines for Front-end, Coating and Back-end activities.
- Organize weekly meetings to monitor the progress of ongoing FA projects and discuss the requirement for new FA orders.
- Mitigate and resolve scheduling conflicts, while providing optimal recovery shipment dates.
- Review production shop floor technical and capacity issues and constraints, and organize meetings to resolve the matter.
- Provide problem-solving approach using Post Mortem, Fishbone Analysis and Brainstorm sessions.
- Provide serial production ramp-up plan, taking into consideration machine and tooling capacity, production readiness, and material lead-times.
- Prepare KPI reports and escalate issues when necessary.
- Liaise with colleagues from regional EO sites for status updates, customer reviews and other ad hoc requirement.
- Coordinate customer visits by collaborating with Sales and Marketing on the agenda, invitees and scheduling.
- Prepare slide decks for Customer and Sales meetings.
- Support customer onboarding by directing and collating key information related to their projects and programs.

Qualification Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field with more than 5 years of experience in Operations or Program Management.
- Project Management Certificate is required.
- Exposure in Precision Engineering and Optical Manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities Requried
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience in client interaction
- Good presentation and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of SAP enterprise resource planning software to monitor projects and production status, production efficiencies and yields.
- Ability to read product drawings and blueprints, and understand the products specifications and tolerances.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams with strong Conflict Management skills.
