**PRIMARY OBJECTIVE**:
The Formulation Scientist is responsible for designing and creating a range of new prestige skin care and cosmetic products with evidence-based support for ingredients.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE**
- Create and develop innovative and differentiated skin care and cosmetic products
- Carry out research on assigned technology, concepts, technical opportunities, materials
- Identify and/or evaluate materials or technologies to assess technical performance
- Uses experimental designs, research, analyses and interprets data to determine feasibility/efficacy of proposed solutions
- Proactively scan and research new concepts, materials, technical opportunities
- Participate in and/or represent R&D by appropriately providing, interpreting and communicating practical technical information and project status

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE**
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience as a formulation or product development scientist
- Post-graduate or PhD qualifications in Pharmacy, Chemistry or related discipline
- Proven experience in formulation and characterization of skin care products
- Experience in formulation of pigmented cosmetics
- Up-to-date knowledge of trends in skin care and cosmetics
