Senior Staff Solution Delivery Architect

**Job Description Summary**: This is a Delivery Architect role for at GE Vernova Digital Grid, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technical architecture for software implementation services bids & projects. You will ensure the proposed solution is best in class and optimal technical design to meets customer functional and non-functional requirements, GEV project budget and timescale.

As the Senior Staff Delivery Architect, you will drive, validate and audit the solution during the different phases of the execution of a project. These phases begin from the Tendering stage and continue till the system acceptance in the customer site (Scope Review, Statement of Work, Solution review, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests). Strong solution design experience required in Electrification Software for Utilities space focusing on high end and complex solutions such as SCADA, ADMS, EMS, CERMS/DERMS, Data & Integration, Grid and Market Management Systems

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Solution Delivery Leadership:

- Lead technical teams in the implementation and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
- Be responsible, in coordination with the Services function (Delivery Manager and Project Manager), for interacting with customers to define, produce and maintain optimal solution design based on scope, customer requirements and solution capabilities.
- End to End Design Leadership (Pre-sales + Delivery):

- Facilitate requirements, design and solutions workshops that capture functional and non-functional requirements from the client, and you will own the design deliverables (Statement of Work, Architecture documents), ensure traceability of requirements with solutions proposed.
- Create, review, comprehensive and clear documentation including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides.
- Be responsible for the communication and enforcement of Design to Customer and Key Project Stakeholders.
- Manage involvement of other SMEs (e.g. business analysts, IT / Cybersecurity experts) and make sure their design contributions meet system architecture functional and non-functional requirements.
- Drive Excellence
- Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement in their segment or domain (best practices and reference material - reference architectures, reference solutions)
- Collaborate with sales and presales teams to conduct needs assessments, develop technical proposals, and support creating Statements of Work (SoW) for client engagements.
- Coordinate knowledge capitalization and dissemination across the Services & Delivery team
- Build technical expertise in the field of their segment or domain. Deliver technical consultancy services on demand
- Build standard policy, procedures and templates.
- Collaborate with Product Managers & Engineering (Return on Experience, product enhancements, reference architectures)

**Required Skills**:

- 10+ years deep technical design focused expertise and hands-on experience with development and architecture in Industrial solutions & Electrification Software in Utilities space such as SCADA, ADMS, EMS, CERMS/DERMS, Grid and Market Management Systems
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar program, with a focus on Computer Science and Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity with Design principles, coding, scripting, OS, such as Linux, Source code Management, Virtualization, Cloud Architecture (AWS and/or Azure), Micro-services architectures
- Experience working with cloud technologies, cloud native technologies such as containers and Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of cloud architectures.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Architectural structures, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, including multi-site deployments
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to technically lead large projects and architect complex solutions
- Awareness and proficiency in Presales activities, including SoW creation and services estimation. Proficient in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.
- Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with C-Level executives and key stakeholders.
- Proactive and customer-facing attitude with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
- Exposure to iterative product development and program management techniques including Agile, SAFe, Scrum, DevOps
- Professional English level
