Senior Accountant, Controllership, Finance

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or quantitative field or equivalent practical experience. - 9 years of relevant work experience in a financial reporting/operational accounting role. - Completed CPA/CA or other professional accounting accreditation. - Experience in accounting principles, including US GAAP, IFRS, and related international accounting standards. Preferred qualifications: - Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, and experience with SQL. - Experience in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and leading and driving complex operational initiatives. - Proficiency with spreadsheet software, and knowledge of accounting principles. - Ability to provide guidance to team(s) within an area to identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed to management. - Ability to manage a varied and diverse workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a high degree of attention to detail with commitment to continuous process improvement. - Team player who demonstrates a drive for results, excellent leadership and negotiating skills. **About the job**: Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Ensure compliance with international accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax regulations, including management of the external audit and tax compliance for a portfolio of Google entities across South East Asia. - Perform regular in-depth analysis on the financials, ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of local books and records. - Represent Accounting and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country business managers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, and Financial Planning. - Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors, and regional accountants.
