Executive Pastry Chef

**Responsibilities**:
The Executive Pastry Chef / Executive Head Baker oversees and directs all operations of the pastry production function.
- He/She supervises Head Baker and their staff to ensure production targets, portion sizing, product quality and specifications are reached within their area of supervision.
- He/She is responsible for overall training and development of the Bakes Team.
- He/She manages the production schedule and daily production plan, and monitors the overall production output levels.
- He/She is responsible for formulating new food production standards and SOPs.
- He/She is responsible for creation of new menus and completing R&D for innovating new products.
- He/She monitors quality assurance on an overall level through conducting spot checks.
- He/She also investigates production/quality issues in the kitchen and recommends solutions.
- He/She monitors and recommends ways to reduce waste production.
- He/She represents the company as the in-house pastry expert and provides content to the Brand team for marketing collateral and website / social media material.
**Requirements**:
- At least 8 years experience in the pastry and baking industry is required.
- Have strong leadership skills, decision-making skills, and time-management skills.
- Needs to operate in a set-up similar to a food production environment and may be required to work day/night shifts.
