**Key Responsibilities**

The shipbroker will report to the Head of Cape Desk in Singapore and will be working closely with the existing team to achieve fixture volume and further expand into new market opportunities.

**The challenges**:

- Maintaining and analysing data on tonnages, cargoes, price calculations, global market trends and industry policies.
- Marketing of company tonnage/cargo offerings by providing consultative services in-line with client’s business strategy.
- Relationship management of existing clients and development of new clients to create additional market space.
- Negotiation of charterparty terms and clauses and successfully trade from start to finish.
- Closely working with operations to monitor each vessels voyage up to completion and settlement.
- Complete fixture volume in line with individual and company objectives.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and thrives to be part of the solution for our clients
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial nature and works well within a team environment.
- Hold a commercial or business degree or similar commercial qualifications.
- At least 3 years of shipbroker experience in the Cape dry bulk market.
- Good knowledge of the cape market dynamic and it’s players.
- Good with calculations and market analysis.
- Fluent in English and a second language will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
