**Summary**

Server and Storage IT Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the servers and storage operations to ensure high availability and sustainability of private/public cloud hosting.

**Responsibilities**
- Handle server and storage operations which include but are not limited to preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring, backup and recovery, incident/problem management and patch management to achieve or exceed the SLA.
- Liaise with intra/inter department team on IT initiatives, maintenance, and user request.
- Create and maintain server & storage-related documentation which includes but is not limited to SOPs/WIs and policies.
- Conduct periodic reviews and propose improvements to the server and storage infrastructure to ensure high availability.
- Assist the project manager, coordinate between various stakeholders and ensure the project is complete within the timeline and budget.
- Work closely and proactively with vendors on maintenance and incident/problem management processes from detection to work around and permanent solution provisioning to ensure IT services availability following SLA.
- Conduct monthly reviews of server and storage capacity and utilization.
- Manage assets, maintain server and storage inventory, configuration, and disposal.
- Establish and review processes, procedures, policies, and access accounts to comply with internal/external audits.
- Assist in disaster recovery drills, ensure proper system backup, and perform periodic system restoration

**Requirements**:

- Degree in IT/IS-related discipline
- At least 3 years experience in a cloud hosting role
- Certified or equipped with knowledge of ITIL, Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Storage, Azure, and networking.
- Good people & vendor management skills
- Good troubleshooting analytical skills
- Project Management skills will be advantageous
- Strong technical ability to create proposals and justification for IT initiatives
- Experience in supporting IT in a manufacturing environment is preferred
