The School of Materials Science and Engineering has significantly changed over time. As a component of NTU’s College of Engineering, MSE is now globally acknowledged as a leading research establishment, collaborating with esteemed universities, multinational corporations, and R&D institutions, and attracting funding from various sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting cutting-edge research in small molecule electrocatalysis for electrolysis and fuel cells.- Primarily investigating the correlation between catalysts' solid-state properties and their performance, including the development of new electrode materials for small molecule catalysis.- Providing day-to-day assistance to the research team.- May have the opportunity to undertake open-ended research projects under the supervision of the research team.- Mentoring and guiding graduate students- Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Solid-state Physics, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.- Proficient analytical and conceptual skills.- Capable of working autonomously or collaboratively within an R&D context.- Demonstrated track record of publishing papers in conferences and journals.- Willingness and aptitude for mentoring and guiding graduate students on relevant methodologies.- Consistent production of detailed reports and well-organized documentation.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.- Extensive research background in electrocatalysis, catalyst development for fuel cells, and materials chemistry.- Ability to contribute effectively as a team member in experimental research support.- Strong capacity for independent research pursuits.
