**Investment Services Private Markets**

We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC’s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

Data Solutions & Analytics (DSA) team’s vision is to unlock the value of Private Market’s information assets and make it readily available to support decision-making and informed action. We provide best-in-class data stewardship, sourcing, ingestion, analytics, and governance across the private market asset classes in GIC.

**What impact can you make in this role?**

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the Data Solutions & Analytics (DSA) Team as an VP of Data Infrastructure. The DSA team sits within the Investment Services Private Markets Department (ISPVM) and provides data stewardship, data sourcing, data ingestion, analytics, data governance and leads digital and data infrastructure projects across the private market asset classes in GIC.

This individual will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, management, support and growth of ISPVM’s data infrastructure to ensuring that high-quality data is available to support business reporting and analytics needs.

**What will you do as a VP, Data Infrastructure?**
- Lead DSA’s data infrastructure team in developing and executing a strategic plan for the organisation’s data technology platforms to ensure data assets can be fully exploited through reporting, analytics, automation and AI adoption
- As the Product Owner, in partnership with GIC’s Technology Groups to, drive continual improvement of Private Market’s data capabilities through the design, development, implementation and support of data technology products
- Implement, execute, and monitor automated data processing jobs supported by DSA’s data infrastructure and lead resolution of any errors/issues
- Ownership of existing and new Data Infrastructure controls including data security, data governance and data quality.
- Manage and develop a team of data infrastructure professionals
- Actively contribute to and play a leadership role in enterprise-wide data infrastructure initiatives
- Identify opportunities within ISPVM and across GIC to uplift data capabilities and improve data governance/management
- Contribute to the overall DSA/ISPVM data strategy and the execution of key streams of work

**What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering and/or related discipline
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in data technology, data management and/or data governance
- Experience in developing, managing and motivating a team
- Experience leading data infrastructure projects and supporting data infrastructure operations
- Experience with Agile and Product Centric ways of working
- Strong product mindset and willingness to experiment
- Strong technical skills and deep expertise in data infrastructure technologies/methodologies such as Data Product Design, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, MDM, Github/Gitlab, Data Streaming, Data Virtualisation, Data Visualisation, MLOps, Python, Spark, etc
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with other teams across the organisation and influence stakeholder
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
- Knowledge of leading data management trends and practices within the financial industry, approaches to data quality and business-technology issues related to data
- Knowledge of the private markets is a bonus.
