**Key accountabilities**
- To perform the duties of the Workplace Safety and Health Officer as required under the Workplace Safety and Health Act and to attend the required courses to attain SDU credits/points to renew and maintain the WSHO license.
- To perform the duties of the Fire Safety Manager as required under the Fire Safety Act and to attend the required courses to attain CPD credits/points to renew and maintain FSM license Conduct monthly WSH meetings as per the SATS and regulatory framework agenda which include reporting of safety performance and status of initiatives/actions.
- Collaborate with SVPs and HODs to design, implement and sustain programmes to reduce incidents and promote a positive safety culture which include Gemba walk, Focus group sessions, Hazard elimination projects, Safety campaign/ outreach, P3 program etc.
- Drive initiatives arising from SATS Group/Board Risk and Safety Committee (SGRSC/BRSC) in accordance to the workplans Attend Corporate Risk and Safety Department meetings to report status and review new legal and other requirements for BU applicability
- Timely submission of safety reports which includes fire safety report, WSH meeting minutes, presentation decks, inspection report, incident investigations, safety statistics etc
- Conduct/coordinate/ review/update risk assessments (Hazard, PPE, Ergonomics, etc) as the appointed Risk Assessment leader.
- Maintain the currency of risk assessments and monitor compliance to the identified controls.
- Conduct incident investigation and/or validate completed investigation root cause and submission of the required reports to the required stakeholders
- Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness, timely closure of safety corrective and preventive actions from various drivers which includes hazard reporting, incident investigations, inspections, audits, Leverage on supervision and management to implement the framework communications plan and engage the various levels, functions, contractors, visitors to raise awareness on safety
- Communicate and liaise with business partners, WSH regulators and other external bodies on behalf of the organization.
- Coordinate annual audiometric and periodic noise mapping/ personal dosimetry.
- Oversight and assurance on all compliance matters which include safety related licenses, legal requirements, incident reporting, submission of reports to authorities, etc
- Conduct/ prepare content for safety related trainings to build competencies which includes train the trainer trainings, incident management, SATS new employee FAM and other trainings as identified in the framework training needs analysis
- Establish, maintain and ensure procedures within the framework are adequate to address the risk of the business unit as the framework appointed procedure and record keeper for the business unit
- Monitor and implement the framework audit and inspection plan to ensure adequacy, effectiveness and compliance which include preparing the business unit for internal and external audits.
- Implement the contractor management and management of change program to ensure mitigation of risks associated with contractors/suppliers and change/new process respectively
- Any other duties as assigned by BU or functional reporting officer

**Skills & experience**
- Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety, Ergonomics or Engineering or equivalent
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM or mínimally with a WSH level B qualification and on the pathway to receive WSHO qualification
- Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF or mínimally on the pathway to receive FSM qualification
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety and Health
- Good knowledge of local and international regulations relating to Occupational Safety and Health
- Familiar with OSHAS, ISO documentation, CAAS/CAG by-laws and ISAGO
- Good planning, organizing, communications and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work under mínimal supervision and with all levels of employees and managerial staff
- Able to collaborate with relevant external authorities and parties
