Clinical Fellow, Cardiothoracic Intensive Care
3 days ago
The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care fellowship is accredited by the Singapore Medical Council and recognised by the College of Intensive Care Medicine in Australia for their training and is currently run by full-time trained intensivists. Trainees will gain exceptional experience in all areas of cardiac intensive care medicine as well as management, audit and research. Trainees will have exposure to complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries, echocardiography and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Enthused trainees have excellent opportunities to be involved in research and publications.
The fellowship training comprises hands-on clinical experience, state-of-the-art simulation training, didactic lectures and tutorials with a focus on intensive care and cardiovascular medicine to ensure trainees develop the breadth of knowledge and skills needed to practice cardiac intensive care medicine. Fellows are expected to participate in ward rounds twice a day, weekly tutorials in the ICU and monthly mortality and morbidity meetings. Trainees will be awarded the Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care by the National University Hospital upon completion of the fellowship programme.
