Vice President Risk Management

Nordic Aviation Capital, the world’s leading lessor of regional aircraft, has a vacancy for a Vice President, Risk Operations, covering the Asia Pacific region, based in the Singapore office, reporting to the EVP & Chief Risk Officer.
The Risk Operations team supports NAC's overall strategy of expanding into larger narrowbody aircraft, leveraging its world class asset management platform.
**The primary responsibilities of the role are**:
- Conducting due diligence on prospective customers, encompassing financial, operational and market reviews, and producing high quality credit analysis in support of prospective transactions. Position will require the establishment of good relationships at customer CFO, Treasurer level.
- Providing risk management advice on transaction structures, in your functional role as the risk management contributor to transactional teams.
- Conducting annual credit reviews of portfolio customers.
- Assisting the EVP & Chief Risk Officer in the implementation of risk management policies.
- Active management of overdue accounts, handling restructurings where required.
- Interrogating portfolio data to prepare timely and insightful portfolio and market reports.
- Five to ten years of risk management experience in the aircraft leasing, or aircraft financing, and in financial statement analysis.
- Strong data analysis skills with a degree in a numerate discipline (Finance or STEM field) required.
- Familiarity with credit and country risk assessment process in the region.
- Experience with corporate restructurings.
- Strong communication skills, including experience in directly dealing with airline customers in the region.
- Additional qualifications such as a CFA, CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree in financial field would be an advantage.
- Agility and flexibility to adapt to a changing agenda over time. Effective support of change and transformation projects within the department and business in general. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- The position will require international travel to meet customers as well as to other NAC office locations.
