SPDA-REFG is responsible for the origination and execution of financings for Real Estate Finance (REF) transactions. SPDA-REFG seeks to utilise the specialised expertise to enhance revenues, increase number of customers across the regions.
- Support marketing activities of senior team members by way of preparation of pitch documentation and performing industry and client research both for debt and advisory related transactions.
- Support and contribute to internal reporting and strategic planning in relation to REFG, including but not limited to liason with SMBC Head Office departments in Tokyo in Japanese.
- Support credit and financial analysis of Real Estate Financing transactions. This will include support for creation of detailed financial modeling and sensitivity analysis and supporting the preparation and/or review of property memo and credit submissions jointly with other team members.
- Coordinate with relevant departments including Tokyo Head Office in risk analysis and setting of rules related to new business development.
- Be involved in client interaction and participate in client meeting, in particular for Japanese corporate clients, to explain historical and current market dynamics etc. in Japanese language. Also, to cooperate closely with relevant departments including Tokyo Head Office and regional department covering Japanese corporate client communicating in Japanese language. The position requires fluency in Japanese language.
- Undertake any tasks or projects so instructed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support to Group Head of REFG in relation to preparation of reporting, strategic analysis, or any other ad-hoc work in relation to day to day REFG operations.
- Support credit and financial analysis of Real Estate Financing transactions. This will include support for creation of detailed financial modeling and sensitivity analysis and supporting the preparation and/or review of property memo and credit submissions jointly with other team members.
- Cooperation with SPDA PPG in relation reports relating to P/L and B/S in both Asia Pacific and East Asia Region and enhance the control and analysis of regional result / forecast.
- Support in preparation of reporting in relation to expense budget.
- Support of preparation of various meeting materials and Department level reporting, including Asia Pacific and East Asia Region for key management meetings, periodic accounting reports to Head Office, etc.
- Initiation, guidance, and delivery of any other initiatives or projects as instructed by Group Head of REFG or SPDA Management.
- Be involved in client interaction and participate in client meeting, in particular for Japanese corporate clients, to explain historical and current market dynamics etc. in Japanese language. Also, to cooperate closely with relevant departments including Tokyo Head Office and regional department covering Japanese corporate client communicating in Japanese language. The position requires fluency in Japanese language.

**Job Requirement**:

- Have experience at least 3 years of relevant experience in banks/Financial Institutions is essential.
- Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken in English.
- Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous and preferable as this role needs to negotiate and make presentations to relevant Depts in Head Office.
- Be able to prepare periodic report in Excel / Word / Powerpoint format.
- Strong communication and organiztion skills.
