Data Centre Operator

A large corporate Company in the Finance sector are recruiting a Data Centre Operator to work as part of the Operations team.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a datacentre Hands and feet Support.
- Basic hardware support not just limited to manual power cycling of devices as well as replacing any hot swappable components on request.
- Experience in using Service-Now to use CTASK, Incidents. Ensure to updates status and close down changes on completion.
- Proactively monitoring Service-now for alerts, incidents, and tasks, corresponding, and communicating with third-party vendors and internal clients.
- knowledgeable in technical project requirements to give guidance of physical provisioning, power, cooling and logical network connectivity.
- Assist rack elevation plans, Support cable patching.
- Patching, racking and stacking for installs, following internal best practices & IMAC process.
- Installation and testing of physical patching to equipment, dressing down and labelling cables.
- Material control, maintain records of deliveries, storage and update ticketing systems.
- Daily housekeeping checks, reporting on noncompliance issues, hardware alerts and tracking until remediated.
- Managing access control process for the datacentre, raising requests tickets for authorised approval.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills including Communication
- written and verbal and be able to be work and problem solving.
- A flexible approach is a must: Predominately working weekdays 9 - 5 in Singapore but would be required to cover project work after 19:00 on weekdays and at weekends, when necessary, occasionally would be a requirement to cover workloads at the customers second active datacentre centre.
- A Pro-active approach is required for this role, to continuously improve services and processes.
- Excellent Microsoft skills, Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams.
- Emergency call out requires attendance at DC within 1 hour.
- Must hold a full Singapore driving licence.
- Experience in supporting hands and feet support for network, Server changes.
- Experience to on call support is necessary.
