Facilities Shift Manager

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the critical environment within the data centre are properly maintained and operated and that all safety and Global Switch procedures are adhered to.
The Facilities Shift Manager oversees the outsourced FM Contractor and Specialist Contractor resources carrying out maintenance and reactive works throughout the data centre.
The Facilities Shift Manager acts as the Change Agent during their attendance. From time to time the Facilities Shift Manager may be requested to attend site out of hours including at weekends to support special projects.
The role supports the Facilities Manager. The Shift Manager may be required to act as an acting internal Incident Manager On occasion will be required to deliver written and verbal reports to senior management and customers as required.
The Facilities Shift Manager must be able to take full line control of an incident (if necessary) and the outsourced services team when required by escalation procedures. This may be on site or via telephone out of hours. This function will be shared with the FM manager and the Operations Manager.
The Facilities Shift Manager ensures that the outsourced FM Contractor achieves customer Service Level Agreements and to established quality standards, and compliant with all corporate and local policies, procedures, and local statutory requirements.
