Senior Assistant Director, Major Gifts

The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the University’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations, foundations, and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future.
**Responsibilities**
Donor Identification
- Work with colleagues in the Major Gifts team, prospect researchers, academic leadership or faculty members to identify high net-worth individuals and right donor pool that enhances the possibility of target gifts
Pre-Proposals/Full Proposal Development
- Lead or facilitate gift structuring to optimize donor’s gift purpose, and prepare the documents by working with Development Communications Team
Stewardship and Cultivation
- Bring together appropriate faculty to assist with academic content, in order to align donor interests with the University’s programs/projects
- Work with Stewardship Team to plan and coordinate campus visits for prospects/donors
- Cultivate and steward donors to next level of giving
Gift Closing
- Follow up on closing of gift with Gift Agreement, Rules of Administration (ROA), Projection Sheets to manage donor expectations. Ensure pledge collection.
Fundraising Events
- Ensure successful engagement of donor by engaging them further through participation in various fundraising and University-wide events
**Requirements**:
- University Degree or related equivalent combination of education with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated successful fundraising experience, including personal and corporate solicitation
- Experienced in donor relations and stewardship
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels
- Flexible, confident, good listener and attentive to detail
- Articulate and persuasive presenter to large and small groups
- Possess sound judgement and strong professional presence as well as a collegial work style that promotes teamwork, creativity and open communication
