**Company background**
Sofina is a European, family-controlled, investment company listed on Euronext Brussels (~10Bn$ AUM). Sofina invests globally, both directly and through private equity funds. Sofina has a team of ~80 people (incl. 30+ investment professionals) with offices in Brussels, Luxembourg and Singapore. The Singapore office opened in January 2015 and is now staffed with ~16 employees.
**Responsibilities**
The Investment Associate will actively participate in various steps of the investment cycle and take on the following responsibilities:
- Identification and prioritisation of new direct and fund (VC/PE) investment opportunities, with a main focus on India, China and ASEAN;
- Deep analysis of targeted investment opportunities, drafting of investment memos and presentation to the Investment Committee;
- Contribution to the negotiation and deal structuring process with senior team members, and support the internal process of a deal closing (coordination with back-office on tax, legal and accounting matters);
- Contribution to portfolio management and monitoring, performance analysis and valuation.
**Profile**
The Investment Associate is a team-orientated professional with multi-dimensional abilities:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in investments (PE/VC, family office, fund of funds), top-tier investment banking and strategic consulting firms or entrepreneurship;
- demonstrated experience in Sofina's focus sectors (consumer, TMT, healthcare, education) and network in the VC/PE market in Asia. Prior experience in investing in India would be a plus.
- is fluent in English;
- graduated from a top-tier Business or Engineering school. CFA certification is a plus;
- is solution oriented, has a collaborative, commercial and networking mindset;
- is polyvalent and able to work in a multi-cultural environment;
- is motivated by the idea of being part of a long-term project.
