JOB TITLE: Warehousing Process Lead

BUSINESS CONTEXT

As Unilever’s growth engine, we establish global businesses in key channels such as Health & Beauty, Discounters, E-Commerce, and alternate channels such as travel retail, marketing to institutional partners like the United Nations, and seeding Unilever brands to overseas diaspora who crave a taste of their familiar home brands.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Manage the Singapore hub operations with overall logistics functional accountability, and support the Netherlands hub operations in the capacity of a process lead, for end-to-end logistics activities: inbound, outbound, inventory, returns, freight and transportation
- Develop strategies in conjunction with central logistics, and deployment of strategy with SC cluster teams in hub locations
- Process optimization with a key focus on driving value in service and cost, including digitization through systems/process automation
- Oversee the contract tender process in partnership with procurement, and manage the RFP process to contract finalization (volume forecast, process design, vendor selection, rates negotiation and final evaluation)
- Accountable for warehousing and logistics KPIs that track operations and 3PL performance
- Responsible for overall warehousing costs. Proactively identify cost saving opportunities and work with stakeholders to develop action plan for cost savings
- Lead 3PL to work closely with Planning, Customer Services, Logistics and Business Development teams to execute export shipments and local truck deliveries effectively
- Provide stakeholder updates on the performance and current status of the operations: pallets occupation, delivery status, inventory level etc and propose corresponding actions
- Resolve ocean freight issues with shipping lines and freight forwarders, for exports from managed hubs
- Develop and support the trucking capabilities and network, through strong engagement with 3PLs and partners
- Invoice validation from 3PL charges and raise the PO accordingly to ensure payment is made on time
- Accountable for inventory management processes that drive inventory accuracy and integrity (cycle counts, audit stock take, inventory reconciliation) and ensure discrepancies are resolved timely
- Manage the performance and development plan for CG team in Singapore hub operations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- 3PL warehouse management
- Performance management experience in driving/tracking logistics costs
- Strong management capabilities and people management experience for day-to-day operations
- Able to effectively work virtually
