Senior Accountant

This role requires deep involvement in financial reporting activities, being the key lead in the areas of compliance and the champion in the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards, sales forecasting processes and operational activities of the Advanced MedTech group of subsidiaries (SBUs) from the organic and the inorganic perspective. You will play a pivotal role in producing financial reports for the group.
**Responsibilities**:
Primary Responsibilities
1. Reporting
- Perform IFRS and quarterly reporting based on experience in this area for a public listed company
- Manage the Group’s IFRS implementation and deliver high-quality technical IFRS reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Support in liaising with statutory auditors, external parties and internal stakeholders
- Support the business units to prepare budget and 3-5 years planning
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
2. Controlling function
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to support business decisions
- Assist with financial reporting as required at the Audit and Risk Committee and Board meetings and provide advice to support the decision-making process
- Work closely with SBU Head of Finance to ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
3. Operational function
- Work closely with SBUs to ensure management reporting can value-add and support business growth
- Help to fine tune and develop a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, and enhance the accuracy of financial forecasts
Secondary Responsibilities
1. Internal Controls
- Provide support to ensure all SBUs operate with adherence to corporate governance
2. Support in Ad-hoc projects
- Assist VP Finance and VP Corporate Development in ad-hoc projects and assignments
**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Accountancy / Business Administration
- Certified Public Accountant
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in finance, accounting and controlling functions
- Reporting experience in a public listed company and/or Big 4 external audit experience
- Good knowledge in International Accounting Standards
- Strong leadership, high energy and able to work independently
- Able to adjust working relationship and management style with working levels, peers and senior staff
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Good organizational and operational skills with experience in multi-cultural environment
- Ability to travel and take on short overseas assignments on an as-needed basis
