**ABOUT OWNER RELATIONS**
The Owner Relations team is a strategic function of Marriott’s business in Asia Pacific that represents and
manages the interests of all hotel owners and franchisees. The team supports in the planning and execution
of programs and initiatives developed for the purpose of communicating to and recognizing our highly valued
business partners.
The Owner Relations team works closely with all functions throughout the organization to understand the
business, identify communication challenges and opportunities, formulate key messages, and create
purposeful communication to tell the story of the company’s business model, programs and services to
Marriott’s owner and franchisee community. The team is also responsible for a number of key projects and
initiatives focused on strengthening overall owner and franchisee satisfaction.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Well versed in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm in the performance of responsibilities
- Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ambitious, highly motivated and an ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment and a
high degree of accountability
**GENERAL DUTIES**
Main projects during internship include but not limited to the following:
- Assist in the creation of Owner Franchise communication materials and resources, including develop
communication in a variety of formats, plan communication strategies, research and analysis.
- Assist in the development of a database for Marriott’s owners and franchisees in Asia Pacific, including
researching profiles, identifying areas for improvement, providing recommendations, and updating data.
- Assist in the development of materials for Marriott’s pre-opening hotel, including reviewing, editing and
updating materials.
- Perform basic analysis using Excel and other relevant analytical tools.
- Create and format presentation decks using PowerPoint.
- Write articles or reports to describe initiatives and projects, summarize findings, and recommend plans of
action.
- Coordinate data / information collection and collaborate with different teams.
- Manage projects from start to end, effectively and independently.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and follow company policies and procedures.
