**Job Description**:
**Job Summary**
As a Vendor Business Development Specialist at SmartBite, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth by identifying, engaging, and acquiring new vendor partners. Your mission is to expand our network of food, beverage, and gifting providers, ensuring our platform offers diverse, high-quality, and exciting options to delight our clients. You’ll foster relationships, strategize vendor acquisition efforts, and ensure smooth onboarding, contributing directly to our business success.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Vendor Acquisition**:

- Proactively identify and research prospective vendors to build a robust pipeline of quality leads.
- Network within food, beverage, and gifting industries to establish and nurture long-term partnerships.
- Present SmartBite’s value proposition, clearly articulating benefits and guiding vendors through the onboarding process.
- 2. **Onboarding and Vendor Management**:

- Engage with potential vendors through meetings, follow-ups, and calls to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Confirm that all onboarding requirements (contracts, certifications, compliance) are met before handing vendors to the Vendor Management team.

3. Strategic Growth and Market Alignment:

- Analyze client demand and market trends to target vendors that align with current and future needs, such as specific cuisines or certifications.
- Develop strategic plans and forecasts to achieve vendor acquisition targets and align supply with business goals.

4. Contract Negotiations:

- Negotiate commercially competitive terms to create mutually beneficial agreements with vendor partners.

5. Collaboration and Reporting:

- Partner with Vendor Managers, Marketing, and Sales teams to address vendor-related challenges and leverage opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on vendor acquisition progress and market trends.
