**Position Overview**

The Human Resources (HR) Manager is based in the Corporate Office of Capella Hotel Group and reports to Vice President, Human Resources for Capella Hotel Group.

The HR Manager will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the HR department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy. This position focuses on the execution of function strategy for the short to mid-term planning of all the HR specialist functions specifically Recruitment, Pre-Openings, HR Compliance and Audits. This position will support Compensation & Benefits function as well.

**The Role**
- Lead in talent acquisition, recruitment and hiring of all key positions. Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Lead and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Plan, lead, develop, and implement policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support the Group’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Implement corporate policies and procedures on compensation, incentive, bonus and benefits.
- Selects and manage HR external partners, insurance, relocation, HRIS firms among others to offer the best possible solutions for the Hotel and colleagues.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Conduct HR audits and ensure HR compliance in all properties.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Evaluate and implement a Human Resources Information Systems globally.
- Be ready to be deployed as part of the HR Tiger Team/task force member globally.

**Pre-opening**:

- Prepares and manages pre-opening budgets, critical path, HR operations in preparation for the successful openings of new properties.
- Develops human resources strategic and operational initiatives in line with Hotels/Resorts overall financial and profitability goals.
- Provides human resources advice, counsel, and decisions to properties' HR team. Guides the leadership team on policies and procedures, best practices and recommendations to ensure Capella Hotel Group’s people culture & values are maintained.
- Educate and train managers on HR disciplines to foster productivity, and enhance performance

**Talent Profile**
- Minimum 5 years Human Resources management experience required and minimum experience of 1 to 2 year in the same position
- Strong written communication skills required with an understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and colleagues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
