**Role Purpose**
The Sales Team Manager will lead and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets, contribute to strategic growth, and maintain high performance. This role involves coaching, pipeline management, and ensuring sales processes align with company goals. You will work closely with key stakeholders including the Regional Sales Director, Sales Managers, Head of Global Accounts, Marketing Team, and Operational Support Functions to ensure alignment and success in achieving business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**: Hire, coach, and manage a sales team to meet or exceed targets (£5-15M annually).**Sales Target Achievement**: Set and execute plans to meet sales goals through individual coaching, performance analysis, and corrective actions.**Pipeline Management**: Ensure an accurate and sufficient pipeline for sales opportunities and forecast.**Coaching & Development**: Adapt coaching to diverse team members to ensure continuous improvement and goal achievement.**Lead Generation**: Drive proactive lead generation and collaborate with marketing to maintain a strong sales pipeline.**Account Management**: Develop and execute account plans for strategic clients to drive growth.**Performance Management**: Monitor KPIs, sales activity, and take corrective actions when necessary.**Reporting**: Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, performance summaries, and updates to senior leadership.**Strategic Alignment**: Ensure team goals align with LRQA’s growth strategy and drive innovative sales approaches.
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales with a strong track record of exceeding targets.- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills for presentations and negotiations.- Proven experience in leading and coaching high-performing sales teams.- Expertise in sales forecasting, analysis, workload prioritization, and strategic sales planning.- Strong ability to drive team performance and ensure successful outcomes.- Knowledge of business assurance, certification, and risk management sectors.- Relevant qualifications in sales, business studies, or assurance-related fields are a plus.
