The Cyber team is responsible for the development of cyber reinsurance business in Asia Pacific and Africa. Our setup is truly international, with regional teams in Munich and Singapore and colleagues in Tokyo, Sydney, Seoul, Mumbai, Beijing and soon Dubai.

Over the last few years, Munich Re has built a position as a market leader in cyber reinsurance - globally and in Asia - based on premium volume as well as the expertise of our teams and solutions we offer to our clients.

The Head of Cyber, Asia will be a qualified and motivated leader, capable of defending our market leading position for cyber reinsurance in Asia and continue the path of sustainable growth. Reporting to the Head of Cyber Asia-Pacific/ Africa, your role will comprise cyber underwriting, solution and product development, sales and marketing as well as leading the Asia Cyber team.

**Your Role**

The Head of Cyber, Asia is responsible for the top line, the bottom line, and the resilience of the cyber reinsurance treaty business written in Asia, as well as the facultative single risk business (in collaboration with Munich Re's team for single risk underwriting).
- Leading and developing a highly motivated team with diverse backgrounds, expertise levels and roles (including regional and local underwriters, cyber risk specialist) in a hybrid work environment, with the team located in offices across Asia
- Ensuring the highest quality of reinsurance underwriting to navigate Munich Re's Asia cyber book, sustainably, through the upcoming market cycles
- Acting as senior counterpart (together with Client Management and the local Heads of Underwriting) to the most relevant Asian cyber clients and regularly attending meetings and workshops across all Asian markets
- Supporting the growth ambitions of key primary insurers in emerging cyber markets
- Ensuring cooperation, alignment and knowledge exchange with other Munich Re Cyber teams including central functions
- Further developing and implementing the overall value proposition of Munich Re's cyber reinsurance business in Asia (e.g. product development, data-driven services, expert workshops and market events) as well as portfolio strategies per market
- Market responsibility for Japan, Australia/New Zealand, South Korea, South East Asia and Greater China

**Your Profile**
- Proven track record in leading and developing diverse teams in an international set-up
- Strong client focus and experience in negotiations with key decision makers
- Experience in achieving results in multi-stakeholder environments
- Underwriting experience in cyber insurance or another major line of business, with experience of reinsurance treaty underwriting
- Understanding of cyber exposures, cyber insurance and management of cyber risks
- Entrepreneurial thinking and passion for doing business in Asia, ideally with existing experience in sales activities
- Team player that strives to cooperate across Munich Re
