Bangkok Bank Singapore is a full licensed bank operating in Singapore since 1957. We provide a wide range of wholesale and consumer banking and financial services to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We have an immediate vacancy for a suitably qualified individual to join us as:
**COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
- Review of documentation and information received from Business Units for new clients as well as periodic and triggering review of existing client files (high risk individual/ corporate as well as high risk SWIFT RMA and correspondent banking) for Customer Due Diligence (CDD) & Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) according to relevant Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules/regulations and internal KYC procedures. Ensure all evidence is obtained and recorded as per procedures and prepare Compliance report to continue business relationship.
- Communicate with relevant Business Units to provide KYC/CDD advisory and on all KYC/CDD, FATCA and CRS matters.
- Ensure efficient identification and monitoring of suspicious activities and transactions as part of KYC review, and timely reporting of suspicious transactions to the authorities.
- Prepare yearly FATCA and CRS reports for submission to regulator.
- Assist with daily/monthly AML reports and track completion of KYC reviews, historical transaction report, Incomplete CDD tracker, etc.
- Assist in preparing and conducting the KYC/CDD training for Business Units.
- Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practices, criminal typologies and developing trends.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and Certification from ACAMS or ICA.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Compliance AML KYC/CDD and with experience handling advisory and KYC/CDD review of high risk customers, non-bank, individual, corporate & FIs, SWIFT RMA and Correspondent banking.
- Sound knowledge of MAS regulations (MAS Notice 626, Guidelines to MAS Notice 626 and best practice papers), Sanctions, investigation and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
- Excellent research and analytical skills; meticulous and with ability to deliver high quality reports within deadlines.
- Team player with good written communication and interpersonal skills.
