We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **HNW Underwriter.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Perform the assessment on complex medical and financial risks of applicants for HNW business
- robust internal controls; guidelines, while managing the associated mortality risks
- Proactively monitor underwriting rules, guidelines and philosophy on its continuing market competitiveness,
- its effectiveness and in relation to emerging or changing medical and insurance risk principles and practice
- and put forward as appropriate recommendations and alternative best practice strategies
- Work collaboratively with Distribution channels, including banks and international brokers to ensure
- production targets are delivered within stipulated SLA
- Work closely with treaty reinsurers on facultative cases exceeding the auto bind limit
- Participate and proactively identify opportunities to streamline internal processes, procedures and workflow
- in order to enhance the overall customer journey for operational efficiency
- Participate and support department/company initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Collate, analyse and prepare new business underwriting production data for management reporting
- Ensure underwriting guidelines are updated in accordance with Company’s procedures and relevant
- regulations are adhered to

**Requirements**:

- A recognized University Degree in Insurance, Business or equivalent professional qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of life underwriting experience
- Possesses strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- A team player, self-motivated, pro-active
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
