**Role Purpose Statement**
This position will support the credit analysis / approval of counterparti es as well as the preparation ofcredit reports in accordance with the company’s credit policies and standard processes.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Coordinate and prepare annual reviews for approval
- Prepare credit request for new counterparty approval and limit increase
- Assist in testing and implementation of new credit risk system
- Streamline / maintain limit master list and database records
- Monitor default risk indicators and market news to detect counterparty distress
- Generate monthly / weekly exposure and AR reports
- Recommend improvements to credit scorecard by incorporating new ratios, financial data or graphics
- Enhance exposure reporting process using Tableau, Macros or other tools

**Impact/Dimensions**
The role will help the Singapore credit team with routine credit requests, annual reviews, reporting and system testing / maintenance.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**
- Number of annual reviews completed weekly
- Number of new credit requests prepared weekly
- Timeliness and accuracy of report prepared

**Major Opportunities and Decisions**
- Assess the credit-worthiness of a counterparty through qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Recommend appropriate credit limits based on the assessment
- Suggest ways to mitigate credit risk through payment terms, credit insurance and collaboration with other departments
- Understand the commodity business and how external events / shocks affect counterparty credit risk

- Ability to work in multi cultural environment, liaise with various departments and management levels
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

- Asia credit team
- Regional credit teams outside Asia

**Knowledge and Technical Competencies**
- Strong numerical and analytical skill
- Excel, Powerpoint and Tableau
- Ability to read and understand financial statements

**Education/Experience**
- Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics,Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
